Getting Involved
Getting involved is very important in conducting a positive college experience. When thinking of what you should get involved in, first you must see what your interested in. Maybe you are interested in dance or robotics or modeling or whatever, first search around campus for the different clubs and organizations that you can get into. That is a great way to get to know people. The more activities you join the more people you will meet and maybe can help you in a specific field they can assist you in. Joining clubs is a great way to network and get introduced to. Although you want to meet new people and have fun you must be able to manage your time wisely so you wont get too distracted and lose focus on the real reason you came to college in the first. Also you should get involved because it is a great way to build your resume. The more things you do the more things can pile up on your resume. You are paying for your college experience why not make the most of it. Take advantage of all the resources your school has to offer. Even if you don't like some =thing at least try it once so that you would have an experience and can honestly say whether you liked it or not instead of just going by hear say. Also you will learn people skills and how to work with others not only during group projects but within group meetings where everyone voices there opinion. Everything you do is a learning experience so even if you don't like it you would be glad you tried it out. But hey what if you find out that you like something that you least expected. Everything is an experience and you only live once so have fun and have fun while doing it.

Staying fit is the hardest thing to deal with. between trying to keep a good sleep schedule and doing homework it may become overbearing. But in this blog I will be giving you a couple things you can do to keep the freshman.
One way is to eat snacks or mini meals every three or four hours. Waiting every three hours gives your body a chance to digest your food faster instead of eating great big meals and then going to sleep. Eating throughout the day allows you to walk your food off also. Instead of eating junk food as your snacks eat snacks such as granola bars and vegetables. You can pack a few snacks to eat in your classes throughout the day.
Try finding a work out partner. Exercising may be more harder by yourself because maybe this is all new to you. Maybe before your parent portioned your foods for you, or maybe you did not have full access to a gym. So now it is difficult to set a new lifestyle when your not used to. When you have a buddy partner you guys can motivate each other so both of you guys will be excited to burn those calories. You’re chances of sticking to a fitness plan increases when you have someone to do it with you. You wont even know that you are working for a couple hours because you are having so much fun or too occupied on building a healthy lifestyle.
Maintaining your stress is most important. Many times college stresses you out not even only because of the work load but maybe because you're not used to having roommates or maybe the food isn't that great or maybe you just haven't adjusted. The more stress you have on you the more you may either want to eat or not. Either way can be bad because if you eat too much of the bad foods then the more you body will slowly deteriorate because the ingredients aren't good for you. But if you lack to eat then you body will get woozy because the little bit of food you do eat will need to stretch which isn't good.
Be mindful that staying healthy is keys to a positive college life. Don't lose focus on your studies of course but keeping a healthy diet will keep everything going smoothly.

Every adjusting to college is the most difficult but ,with the right people around you can make your experience worth the money you are spending. When looking for the right people to hang with you study there habits such as there study habits or how they respond to certain questions in class. although you are new just like everyone else you must be aware of how you want your college experience to be.
You must be able to manage your time. When you think about all the money you spend on a college education you should realize that your studies are important. When determining how to gain study habits, a start is by going to the library and getting in the habit of going there to do your homework. Even if youth friends aren't doing the same don't sweat it, you came there for yourself not them.

Hello my name is Destiny and I go to Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Punxsy. I am majoring in business management. My first week in college I was tiring because I wasn't ready to be a student all over again and I definitely wasn't In my blogs I will be discussing college life. Topics such as time management, staying fit, getting involved and the settling process. In the post about time management I will be discussing different study habits and sleep habits that is necessary to conduct a positive college experience. Staying fit is a major part of living a healthy lifestyle. In college you will be too busy doing work and keeping up with your classes. Many times students forget that even though they are living a busy school life you often forget that being healthy is very important because without the proper diet you wont be able to be focus. Getting involved in college is important because knowing the right people and networking will allow you to become more successful in the long run. Time management is one of the most important things in college life because you should know how you are spending your time outside of school in order to be up and able to be ready for class. Depending on the time you take in your studies will show in your grades and gpa. Each and every one of these things will help me and many others become one of the most educated and well rounded students in the school.
