Staying fit is the hardest thing to deal with. between trying to keep a good sleep schedule and doing homework it may become overbearing. But in this blog I will be giving you a couple things you can do to keep the freshman.
One way is to eat snacks or mini meals every three or four hours. Waiting every three hours gives your body a chance to digest your food faster instead of eating great big meals and then going to sleep. Eating throughout the day allows you to walk your food off also. Instead of eating junk food as your snacks eat snacks such as granola bars and vegetables.  You can pack a few snacks to eat in your classes throughout the day.
Try finding a work out partner. Exercising may be more harder by yourself because maybe this is all new to you. Maybe before your parent portioned your foods for you, or maybe you did not have full access to a gym. So now it is difficult to set a new lifestyle when your not used to. When you have a buddy partner you guys can motivate each other so both of you guys will be excited to burn those calories. You’re chances of sticking to a fitness plan increases when you have someone to do it with you. You wont even know that you are working for a couple hours because you are having so much fun or too occupied on building a healthy lifestyle.
Maintaining your stress is most important. Many times college stresses you out not even only because of the work load but maybe because you're not used to having roommates or maybe the food isn't that great or maybe you just haven't adjusted. The more stress you have on you the more you may either want to eat or not. Either way can be bad because if you eat too much of the bad foods then the more you body will slowly deteriorate because the ingredients aren't good for you. But if you lack to eat then you body will get woozy because the little bit of food you do eat will need to stretch which isn't good.
Be mindful that staying healthy is keys to a positive college life. Don't lose focus on your studies of course but keeping a healthy diet will keep everything going smoothly.

  1. I really like this blog post because you talk about how you should not eat a very big heavy meal because it might lead to going to sleep after eating and try to walk off your food after eating.

I was really interested in what you said about eating healthy and trying to maintain your stress levels but do you think you could post more things about healthy tips ?

    1. Yes I can. I was actually thinking of putting of simple recipes that you could use being as though we lack the resources such as the stove, blenders, etc.

  2. This is definitely my favorite of the blogs so far as you touched each part of keeping a healthy lifestyle while in college. One question however is due to the lack of variety in food choices how does one continuously stay healthy?

    1. It is very difficult trying to maintain a healthy diet when the same kinds of foods are being served. Well to start you could talk to the dean discussing our concerns and how you wish to see more variety within the fruits being served and etc.If that fails to be achieved then maybe you can start your own shopping list, such as the different fruits and vegetables you could buy.
